START OF A NEW CALANDER YEAR

Welcome back to the world of cameras and photography.

Our first slide competition of the new year will be judged by a panel of members.

This is a diversion from our normal procedures, but is not unknown to us as we do judge some minor competitions ourselves already.   If this works and I am sure it will, then it is something that we can continue with.

Don't forget our Annual Dinner at Park Place being organised by Pam.   Please watch your emails for further details.

Next week we have another lecture on Wren's Churches by Ian Bevan, one not to be missed.

Regards

Alan

Janet's Social Evening

Hello everyone,
As you know Janet has very kindly invited us to a get together at her house during this Summer break. After consulting widely the best date turns out to be Friday 26th August. Unfortunately not everyone can make that date but it is a majority choice. Janet's address is 20Thickett Crescent, Sutton, Surrey SM1 4QB and is suggested that we aim to begin the socialising at 6.30pm.
Put that date in your diaries and I will send out some reminders as we get closer to to that date.
Very best wishes....and many thanks to Janet for inviting us.
Mike

PDI competition no. 1

Just thought I would like to comment upon our judge for our PDI Competition No.1

last Wednesday.   The judge was Marie-ange Bouchard, a relatively new judge on the circuit.

It was generally thought   that Marie-ange brought a refreshing change to some of the more staid judges.

Her approach was open to all subject matters and also both constructive and objective in the critique made.

ANNUAL DINNER

There is hoped to be another Annual Dinner again.  The date has not yet been fixed, but will be in January 2011 as normal.

If anyone would like to take on the task of orgnising this I would be most welcome to hand over the reigns on it and of course give as much help as I can.

Regards

Alan
